Hello! I’m Cory, a Wisconsin native who graduated from UW Stout with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management in 2009. Having since relocated to Minneapolis, I’ve been actively involved in the construction and home remodeling sector. My journey into home inspections began in 2020, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of assisting thousands of residents across the Twin Cities.
I have over 10 years of hands-on experience remodeling and repairing homes for myself and other homeowners. I’ve owned and remodeled multiple properties in the twin cities area over the past 15 years and continue to enjoy updating my current home! In my experience, I’ve encountered and repaired many of the common problems you’ll find in the average Twin Cities home. This real-world experience helps me spot issues that matter most to homeowners like you and give realistic advice on how to handle these issues.
Brett Spottke - Certified Home Inspector
Hi! I’m Bret, and I bring a unique blend of design and construction experience to home inspections. I went to design school and learned AutoCAD, then spent years working at architecture firms, a pool company, and even doing healthcare facility design – so I’ve seen buildings from the ground up.
Like Cory, I’m passionate about remodeling and have personally renovated multiple homes myself. I understand how buildings work because I’ve torn them apart and put them back together. My background also includes over a decade in digital marketing, which taught me how to communicate complex information clearly and work with clients through challenging situations.
What I love most about home inspections is that every day brings something different – new problems to solve, new people to help, and the chance to use my construction knowledge to help families make one of their biggest decisions. I’m a process person who believes in doing things right the first time, and I’m committed to being honest and transparent with every client.
When I’m not inspecting homes, you’ll find me at garage sales with my wife (she’s an eBay reseller), working out every morning, or winning over the neighborhood chihuahua who “doesn’t like anybody” – except apparently me now!
